Instagram profile analyzer

Enter a username to get an instant report: engagement rate, average likes and comments, saves and shares, top posts and how the account compares to others of its size.

Quick answer

An Instagram profile analyzer measures how well an account’s recent posts perform. Shadowly reads the latest public posts, then reports the engagement rate (likes and comments relative to followers), averages and medians, saves and shares where available, the best-performing posts, results per format and the most used hashtags. The rating uses the median post so a single viral post does not distort it.

Type or paste a public username or profile link.

  2. We read the latest posts

Only public data is used, and you never log in.

Frequently asked questions

How is the engagement rate calculated?
We take the median likes and comments of the latest posts and divide by the follower count. The median keeps one viral post from inflating the result. The report also shows the average-based rate and a version that includes saves and shares.
How many posts does it analyze?
The most recent public posts and reels returned for the profile, usually around nine. The report always tells you the exact number used.
Is a good engagement rate the same for every account?
No. Larger accounts normally have lower rates. Shadowly compares the result with a rough range for accounts of the same size, but niches differ, so treat it as a guide.
Can I analyze a private account?
No. Only public profiles can be analyzed, and no login or password is ever needed.
